For Pinterest’s Mother’s Day campaign, I was tasked with creating 4 illustrations inspired by Michelle Obama’s book The Light We Carry about life lessons and pieces of wisdom passed down to me from my mother. These illustrations are centered around my mother’s immigration journey to the United States and how her experience shaped me growing up.
