MEET THE ARTIST

Jamilah Muhammad (she/her), or the face behind the Apple Pencil also known as “I Dream of Jammy”, is a multimedia artist from Pensacola, Florida currently based in Los Angeles, CA.

Jamilah is a graduate of the University of Miami where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Musical Theatre while simultaneously studying Sociology and Web Design. Upon graduation, she has worked as a freelancer in graphic design, illustration, web design, and 2D animation. She is passionate about working on projects centered on social justice, environmental justice, and the normalization of the “avant-garde Black girl” in media.

Outside of her creative work, her hobbies include sleeping, rollerblading, reading manga, watching anime, and immersing herself in her favorite video games, most often The Sims.
